Shakhtinsk is a town subordinated to Karaganda region in Kazakhstan. It is located in the south-west from Karaganda on the bank of Tenteke River. The town was founded in 1961. Earlier it was an industrial community which was founded in 1955. It was concerned with developing Tenteke coal field.
