Port Aktau is the unique seaport of Kazakhstan intended for the international transportations of various dry cargoes, crude oil and mineral oil. It is located at east coast of Caspian sea. The port has been constructed in 1963 for the purpose of transportation of production of the uranium industry and oil deposits of Mangyshlaksky region. Later the port has played a considerable role in building of an atomic power station, factories of chemical branch and is direct the city of Aktau.
The important sight of a city is the Regional Museum of local lore, the rich cultural and which historical heritage totals about 15000 exhibits. Also Aktau is remarkable that streets have no name, the city completely consists of microdistricts. They are numbered with 1st on 30th. Some numbers are not present (for example, with 16 on 21). Numbers of microdistricts reflect time of their construction though the oldest is 3rd, there were 1st, 2nd and 3-А a bit later.
