Kostanay Region was founded in the north of Kazakhstan in 1936. Its capital is Kostanay. The region borders four provinces of Kazakhstan and three provinces of Russian Federation.
There are about 1974 historical, cultural and architectural monuments in Kostanay region. Naurzymsky Reserve, 3 natural reserves and 12 state natural objects with rich flora are also the pride of the region.
